: If the "red pill" is a placebo (no hormones) the active pills in "qlaira" can be stopped, allowing for withdrawal bleeding. The length of the cycle while on oral bcp's is artificial , to simulate a "normal" menstrual cycle, so stopping the active pills is OK, but resume after seven days or ovulation and possible pregnancy can occur.
