TIBC is elevated which means your body is seeking out iron. This occurs in states of iron deficiency. Iron saturation is low which is another sign of iron deficiency. We need the ferritin to confirm the diagnosis of iron deficiency. Please discuss results with your doctor before making any changes to your medical regimen. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results suggest iron deficiency. You may take oral iron and multivitamins. Wish you good health!
