A member asked:

I was tested positive for covid yesterday. went to er. just watching symptoms and taking meds. i noticed my pulse ox tends to drop to 90, is this something i should go back to the er about? does my mild sleep apnea also have to do with this?

90 is the baseline for a low oxygen level. If on further testing it goes below 90 and stays there on other readings, than seek additional exam and possible new treatment methods.

Monitor temperature and breathing. If you have low O2 saturation readings or shortness of breath, please see acute care. Pneumonia is one possible cause and treatment is available. Mild sleep apnea may contribute. Watch for the signs above. The illness usually has a two week duration among mild patients.
