Although this is routinely done for strep throat, a bacterial infection, it is irrelevant for covid. You do not re-infect yourself with the germ. Once your immune system mounts a defense and rids you of the infection your system will resist re-infection from that same strain. Good question, but the type of germ makes this different.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. In about 6 weeks, you should consider getting a vaccination to cover the currently prevalent strains of the Covid virus.
