I had unprotected sex 11/1. i am now 7 days late for my period. pt test came back negative at 5 days late. on day 6 & 7 ive have random small amounts of brown discharge. what is going on? i tried seeing a gyn but he only focuses on the negative?

HPTs are accurate about a week to ten days after a missed period. You may have taken the test too early. Enough hCG needs to be present to trigger a positive result. Try taking another test and use appropriate contraception to avoid pregnancy.
