If you had sex since your last period and you missed your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions carefully. Wish you good health!

Oral contraceptives need to be taken regularly, on time, and not missing any pills. If pills are missed, using a second type of contraception is a good idea. If you have had unprotected intercourse, a pregnancy test a week after the missed dose should be done. A viable pregnancy would be the likely suppressor of a withdrawal bleed.

Obviously, if you have been sexually active you need to rule out a pregnancy. Sometimes missing random pills has no effect but sometimes that can allow an ovulation to occur, in which case bleeding can be delayed and you should use backup contraception throughout this cycle of pills if you are sexually active.
