. It looks like you ruled out tinnitus with your observation. If an ear exam shows no wax buildup, ear drum inflammation and you have no nasal congestion , you may have some eustachian tube dysfunction. This tube goes from the back of your nose to the middle ear. An ENT specialist can exam and advise you best.
