Your doctor probably is right. Testing for possible fertility problems is recommended after a full year of unsuccessful conception despite regular unprotected mid cycle sex. Maybe just relaxing a bit and not trying too hard is the key!

Since you appear to have been trying diligently for nearly six months, it would be reasonable to consult a specialist. They need to review all of your records to make sure your timing has been correct and consistent. Otherwise, you should not be getting a lot of testing done on yourself until confirming that your partner has a normal semen analysis.
