A member asked:

I got a deep glycolic (70%) chemical peel yesterday! i noticed some red patchy areas near my jawline! doesn't hurt, or isn't hot to the touch, just dry and patchy! i was just curious to see if this looks like a chemical burn?

Ask the peeler what has been their experience in folks like you who had what they did.

A little redness following a 70% Glycolic Acid peel is not unusual. The area around the jawline is a bit more susceptible to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation so make certain you are using the proper post peel creams to the area. If it persists, then best to see your provider and see if this needs some more attention.
