A member asked:

If i tested positive for having bv is it more likely i will test positive for having an std? had unprotected sex with a partner i had been with a month prior, no new partner inbetween. prior std test negative?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bacteria vaginosis BV does increase risk of acquisition of STD only if your partner has STD that could be transmitted. If your partner did not have STD when you had intercourse then you are unlikely to get another STD.
