Pregnancy: Yes, you can become pregnant on the same day you have intercourse. Some sperm can live longer than one day, therefore you can become pregnant for up to a few days after intercourse. This time can vary. In general, 3 days after intercourse is about the maximum.

A 23-year-old female asked:
How likely are you to get pregnant if you miss the first pill in new pack after period and have sex the same day you miss pill? Didn't take 2 next day

Small: Ovaries are suppressed by the hormones in the pill. If the start late you may not suppress the ovulation but it general won't happen that soon .Careful later condoms.

Unlikely but possble: It is very unlikely but possible if your period lasts 5 days and sperm can live in the vagina for 5days under optimal conditons and your ovulation is early on 10th day of Cycle
That is very very unlikely
