The only disease that I'm aware of that alcohol seems to provoke discomfort in is Hodgkin lymphoma. The mechanism is.unknown but may have to do with dilation of blood vessels within lymphoma tissue. There could be other benign conditions in which alcohol provokes discomfort also. If you have other symptoms of sweats or fever of otherwise unknown cause, see your physician for evaluation and advice
