Pregnancy is a condition that makes a woman more at risk for fatality from flu. It is one reason the seasonal flu vaccine is recommended for them. If it is not in flu season, they often delay it until after 12 weeks, but it is important. In my medium sized town, we lost 2 to flu in one season.
