"Single vessel disease" may be at a specific point where treatment is necessary (catheterization), but additional coronary vessels may have been partially compromised and near a state in 2008 where treatment was required, and in the period 11/2008 to 4/2010 obstructive disease had progressed to the point where cardiology studies indicated treatment is indicated. Not unusual at age "52".

Rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis can occur over a period of a few months to 3 years even without major risk factors. Most of this is progression of existing coronary plaques. Formation of new vessel blockages is.much less common though. Did you follow proper dieting, adequate statin dosing, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring in 2000? Has your coronary disease been stable?
