Is it normal to have spotting between period when you have hormonal imbalance and proscribed to take birth control pills but im not sexually active?

If the "spotting between periods" is occurring while on oral bcp's, the most common cause is not taking the active pills punctually, which leads to withdrawal bleeding. Stop the current pack, wait five days, and start a new pack, taking the active pills within the hour of the previous day's active pill.
