A member asked:

Can i still attend medical school/ be doctor if i have herpes??

As a former member of the candidate interview faculty of a medical school I can honestly say the issue would never come up. My suspicion is that a significant number of past and present medical students/doctors are afflicted with this germ. Life is complicated but you shouldn't let worrying about this issue stop you.

More than half the adults have been infected with Herpes and it would not affect your life or life's work. God forbid the outbreaks are troublesome, these can be treated with oral medication. Wish you good health!
