I occasionally have vertigo when i wake up. what does it mean? recent changes i am aware of -- surgery, just started exercising again, stopped drinking alcohol, developing new relationship?

At age 74, there are a multitude of problems which can cause vertigo. Would wonder about dehydration, postural blood pressure drop on standing, anemia, transient ischemic attacks, medication reactions, etc. See your doctor and have a complete examination. Prevention is key for a stable and healthy future.

What type of surgery did you have? What other conditions? Medications? May be reflux which may improve with omeprazole /famotidine or related to surgery/ medications. Would follow up with MD
