Staphyllococcal enterotoxin food poisoning acts rather quickly with vomiting and then diarrhea. Other pathogens like salmonella causing food poisoning have a more delayed onset of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and often fever. Treatment is usually only resting, drinking lots of fluids including flat ginger ale, eating a soft diet as tolerated, kaopectate or imodium to relieve severe diarrhea

Pre-formed staphylococcal toxin would cause symptoms in a couple of hour. Infection may take a day or so to manifest as abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and fever. If more than 8 hour have passed without symptoms you should be safe.
