Vaginal bleeding occurring prior to the onset of an expected "period" can indicate other sources of bleeding other than menstrual origin: pregnancies outside the womb (ectopic), uterine polyps and irregular use of oral bcp's for example. See your GYM physician for an exam and other testing if this continues.
