Menstrual irregularites are common and can be from a variety of causes including weight changes, stress, hormonal imbalances and of course pregnancy. If you have missed a period it is important to rule out pregnancy. Take a home urine pregnancy test. Repeat it over the course of a few days. If you have not gotten your period , followup with your gyn.

If you had sex since your last period, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative, repeat it in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor.
