Chlamydia is not likely to have any effect at all on your menstrual periods. Azithromycin will still be effective. If you miss another period, discuss with your doctor. Also, please be aware that although azithromycin usually is effective, it fails to cure about 5% of infections in women. Be sure and have a follow-up test in a few weeks to make sure you were cured.
