At "26 weeks of pregnancy", there are fluid balance problems created (salt consumption, lack of normal activity, etc.) which cause swelling in dependent extremities, in turn which creates barriers to normal muscle contractions, and are universal in the digits of hands and feet, unlike true "carpel tunnel" episodes, which only involve specific muscle groups and may "spare" the little finger.
