They are likely just a pool of clotted blood under the skin that will eventually be broken down and recycled by the body over a period of days to weeks. Other than scolding your partner and covering the lumps, there is not much to do other than wait.

Give it a few days, it will heal. It may leave a pigment patch for longer. You may use make-up to cover it.
