I have got diabetic macula edema in my eyes and i am so scared i am going to go blind. ive been put on statins, and have got to go back in two months to check my eyes again. do i just need to accept facts that i will go blind?

No you want to be certain you have diabetes under prefect control and if you have ANY BP problems keep that at goal as well. Both will likely be improved if you move to the DASH diet if your team says OK. I have seen evidence that some blind from severe HTN/DM have sight restored by the Kempner Rice fruit diet. Go to pubmed.gov & look up Dr. Walter Kempner at Duke. I trained with him. Good luck
