Kidney Failure: The most common sign of kidney failure is fatigue. As it progresses uremia can develop which can cause confusion. Generally, alcohol abuse causes liver damage before kidney damage. It can also affect the heart. Kidney damage can happen, but usually after cirrhosis of the liver progresses considerably.
