A member asked:

Slight pelvic pressure on the left -no period, spotting in place of period -yesterday light bleeding with a blood clot for only 2 hours what could be wrong?

"Spotting" in place of a delay in usual menstruation can indicate pregnancy outside of the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test, which is more sensitive to low levels of pregnancy hormone. If positive, see your GYN physician for an exam.

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
