Oral anti-yeast drugs often do not work well and usually are not recommended for tinea cruris (jock itch). You need an antifungal cream or ointment. Several effective products are available over the counter; look in the same pharmacy shelves with tinea pedis (athletes foot) medications, or ask the pharmacist for assistance.
