The right side of my throat hurts and it hurts to eat and swallow. why does only the right side of my throat hurt i look at it with a flashlight and doesnt look swollen?

If the hurt has lasted more than 2-3 days and is not getting better, it would be prudent to see a doctor. Unilateral tonsillar issues warrant evaluation.

You have two tonsils, one on either side and you feel pain in the tonsil that is infected. You may have a mild infection and not see anything unu. Good Luck
