Can 21 mg of iron cause black poop? i just started taking extra iron and this was the first time ive ever had black poop no pain or stomach problems?

You are right the iron is causing your black poop. However the fact that you do not have stomach problems does not mean you could not have asymptomatic gastrointestinal bleed but in this case it is unlikely because of the timing.
