Many causes: Anemia is a decrease in number of red blood cells (rbcs) or less than the normal quantity of hemoglobin in the blood. The three main causes of anemia are excessive blood loss acutely hemorrhage or chronic slow blood loss, excessive blood cell destruction or deficient red blood cell production.Some people have iron deficiency anemia. Prevention means finding etiology and consulting physician.
