A member asked:

I went for a blood test a few days ago and the second the needle went in, my forearm felt like it popped and it caused a real burning sensation for the whole time the needle was in. three days later and i still get this pain and a small bump?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The needle likely hit a nearby nerve ending on its way to the vein and triggered that response. Your body will self heal over time but it can be sensitive for a while. A cool compress over the area when it acts up will decrease the sensitivity.
