Pregnancy has been documented from exposure on any day of a woman's cycle including during menses. This is rare around the period but seen with those having irregular ovulation/cycle patterns. There are no "safe days" so a form of BC is important if you want to avoid pregnancy.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. Pull out method is not reliable and pregnancy is known to have occurred from sex on any and all days of the cycle. If sex too place less than 72 hours ago, you may consider taking emergency contraceptive, Plan B.
