Close to 90% of people with NAFLD don't go on to cirrhosis. In the aggressive form,however, cirrhosis can develop within 2years. Currently it is not possible to identify the patients who are at high risk for rapid progression. NAFLD is reversible. You'd be best served by having a hepatologist or gastroenterologist supervise your care&ensure that you receive proper treatment and periodic testing
