A member asked:

I was diagnosed with vaginitis due to yeast infection. pelvic wall was inflamed. i took the 2 pills for yeast infection. i still have frequent urination and it feels as if my bladder is swollen. i'm in discomfort and ibuprofen hardly helps. help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Vaginitis" may have concomitant bacterial components, and the vaginal walls are involved, but if the lower abdomen is painful (pelvic wall ?) the infection may be abdominal and an exam is necessary with appropriate medication by your GYN physician. While "yeast infections" can be irritating, they usually do not involve the lower abdomen.
