What can my father do to control his high isolated systolic bp (140-160)? he is (72) , 6 stents in his arteries, kidneys don't work properly, but in no pain and feel mostly fine. his diastolic bp is ok below 80. he takes all his medications?

Sorry, but this is impossible to answer without a lot more information, like what BP lowering drugs he is now taking, the status of his heart and kidney problems, and so on. He needs to discuss this with his doctor(s), perhaps including any specialists involved in managing his several health problems. Good luck.

First get good BPs at home using an arm device with a cuff that is big enough for his arm. If still above 120 at home I would recommend DASH eating plan and this book.
