Obtaining a completely "accurate" date of conception is difficult, because the actual date of ovulation may not be obvious if specific testing is not conducted. The scan at "seven weeks" is the most predictable of an actual "due date", as the size and growth of the fetus and fetal heart presence can be extrapolated reasonably well.
