The primary symptoms of "pagophagia" are the compulsive consumption & constant craving of ice. It is not always clear what causes this disorder, although iron deficiency anemia & other nutritional deficiencies or medical issues may in some instances be the cause. You should get a general medical exam & make certain your diet is healthy. Also, counseling with a therapist of your choice may help.

Most likely this is from iron deficiency. This is common in young women with poor intake of iron or/and excessive menstrual bleeding See your doctor
