Exercise programs vary but bottom line, if you walk 20-30 min 3-4 times weekly that should keep you in basic conditioning. Breaking it up is fine and increased efforts will reward stamina

Agree with Dr. Mechanic: It is important to get some exercise. Gradually increase the intensity and duration of exercise so that you do about 150 minutes of moderately intense exercise each week. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Wish you good health!
