Rash is almost never the only symptom of a new HIV infection (i.e. acute retroviral syndrome, or ARS). If you think you have been exposed to HIV or otherwise infected, get professionally evaluated. When ARS includes rash, all symptoms usually start 1-2 weeks after infection and clear up over the next 2-4 weeks. Good luck.
