If you have a red hot sore throat I would be thinking of a viral infection instead of a vaccine reaction. The infection could be covid,strep or other virus. The vaccine would not give you a covid infection. It would be coincidental if you tested positive for covid. Self isolate,drink plenty of fluids,suck on zinc lozenges according to directions. Ask your MD if you should be tested for strep&covid
