I have a u shaped artery on my right temple that becomes visible for days at a time and then vanishes. it has done this numerous times. i asked my doc with a pic and she said its fine without examining. im still worried. why is this happening?

If it is very hot they dilate to help cool the body: see if you scan see only when hot. Most likely normal.
