A member asked:

My 32 weeker (now 36 weeks corrected) had a head ultrasound that states suspected evolving right germinal matrix hemorrhage with questionable intraventricular extension what does this mean & what does it mean for her future?

The baby will have a neurologic examination at birth and during the follow up visits with her Pediatrician. Developmental milestones will be followed. The head ultrasound may be less accurate in utero and a follow up study may include another head imaging study after birth. Please follow up with your OB for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
