Lyme testing is done through a blood sample. There are different antibody tests that are run, and sometimes if they are not clear (equivocal), they will be repeated after a period of time. Interpreting the results is only part of the diagnosis; signs and symptoms are also considered. There are also times that spinal fluid is tested if that is clinically indicated.
