It takes about three weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. If you got pregnant from the sex on July 2, it is too soon to know. Unless you get a period, do a home pregnancy test by July 23. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then.
