If PCOS is confirmed, your cycles may be very irregular, and ovulation may be delayed or absent for long intervals. To avoid the potential adverse effects of sustained estrogen production w/o ovulation, ask your GYN physician about low dose bcp's, which prevent ovarian activity, thereby stopping sustained high estrogen.
