Using clomiphene (Clomid) or comparable agents to precipitate ovulation, b/c of irregular bleeding and sometimes long intervals between bleeding episodes, to facilitate fertility, a male semen analysis and a female hysterosalpingogram (HSG) should be done to maximize the likelihood of pregnancy. A brief bleeding episode may not be a post-ovulation event. For best results, see a fertility MD.
