How long will a burn scar on your neck last for?

Maybe forever. Burns come in varying thickness from the shallow 1st degree sunburn to the deep 2rd degree that kills full thickness skin & some nerve tissue. A simple deep sunburn might cause skin pigment changes that fade in a few years or less. For deep thickness burns the scar may last forever.

Takes 4 months for redness of scar to begin to fade and 8-10 months for scar to completely mature.
