Is it safe to switch from atenolol 50mg 2x a day to nadolol 80mg. once a day with no weaning off? i get very dizzy on atenolol and have been on it since 1998?

I would discuss this concern with the prescribing physician. You should know why the change is being made, hopefully to reduce your side effects since 1998. Different members of a drug class can vary in potency such that conversion is rarely milligram to milligram. It can be unnerving to switch a medication you have been on for a very long time.
