Inhaling chemicals in a small non-ventilated room can cause irritation to the respiratory tract. Symptoms can include coughing, runny nose, eye irritation, wheezing and shortness of breath. These symptoms can begin minutes to hours after the exposure. If you are experiencing shortness of breath or wheezing that isn’t resolving, or is worsening, please seek medical evaluation as soon as possible.

The exposure may have resulted in bronchospasm. The treatment may include steroids and Albuterol; please discuss with your PCP. Urgent care is another option. If you have Respiratory distress, proceed to the Emergency room.
