A member asked:

Is it possible to get any std from unprotected sex with someone, if both are virgins or do not have stds?

no. But consider the broad range of infections that can pass with the swap of intimate fluids. You do not pass/gain a "STD" or any other illness you do not have but there are a range of other illnesses that can be acquired without sexual contact & pass that way. The flu, forms of hepatitis, mono, etc.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. Virginity does not cover all communicable infections. Examples being oral herpes, infectious mononucleosis, colds., flu, and skin infection, e,g, staph. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health! Safe sex: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/safer-sex-guidelines
